The question this week is being centered on the song being sang in this video:

The lyrics are as follows:
Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don’t belong
And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna runaway?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming
No you don’t know what it’s like
When nothing feels all right
You don’t know what it’s like
To be like me
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you’re down
To feel like you’ve been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one’s there to save you
No you don’t know what it’s like
Welcome to my life
Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more?
Before your life is over
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you’re bleeding
No you don’t know what it’s like
When nothing feels all right
You don’t know what it’s like
To be like me
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you’re down
To feel like you’ve been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one’s there to save you
No you don’t know what it’s like
Welcome to my life
No one ever lied straight to your face
No one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I’m happy but I’m not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
Never had to work it was always there
You don’t know what it’s like, what it’s like
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you’re down
To feel like you’ve been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one’s there to save you
No you don’t know what it’s like (what it’s like)
To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you’re down
To feel like you’ve been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one’s there to save you
No you don’t know what it’s like
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life
What comes to your mind and what do you feel about the lyrics of the song “Welcome to My Life”?
My answer:
It is my first time to read the whole lyrics of the song and it made me realized that it is a feeling of someone real sad and alone in the insides but struggling to live a normal life in a normal world – and yet it came to a point that it’s time to let their thoughts out and be real.
This kind of feeling is normal for anyone because we all pass this stage in our life. The difference is just on how we react to tackle the situation and overcome the badness of it.
I have heard of this music for quite sometime already. And i like the melody of the song. I never took particular attention on the whole lyrics except for the line — “welcome to my life.” Now that i have read it, i read a description of me when i was in my early teens. There was really i point that i don’t understand what’s happening that i thought of running away. hehehehe Then some of the lyrics are still applicable to my current life now that when am full — i just hide away and cry or do something what i really love doing to neutralize the stress building up inside me.
And also one lesson that can be derived from this is that — it’s good to be a listening ear. I mean listening wihtout judging because we dunno what’s really going on deep inside of a sad or angry person.

There was a point in my life when I felt this way.

@ Lorselle – churreee! na add na tika.
i listened to some of their music yesterday, but nothing interests me such as “welcome to my life.” it should be the melody kasi ang una aattract sa akin.
Arlene, thanks for answering the WQ. Yes, we all pass this stage and it is really all up to us to know how we will be able to cope these challenges that we have. These problems may make us fell down but if we are able to conquer these, we come out stronger and more confident in ourselves.
Have a great week
