::Almost In::

OUr area here is flooded almost every month since the rainy season started.  The good thing about the location of our house is that, the water has never in yet — BUT ALMOST!  Just another 5 minutes of strong conttnuous rain of 30 minutes, the water would be in.  When it’s just an inch from our doorstep, i already begin to panick.   And that also happened last night.  I think just half an inch lacking because when my aunt was outside the door to borrow our boots, the water move like a wave and a bit of the dirt came into our doorstep.  See this –

you can see that the water is just almost to come in.    There would be two entries of the flood water into our house.  The front door which leads right away to the living room and the other is the backdoor which is right away the kitchen area.  But last night, the backdoor area didn’t pose the threat of any water coming in.  It was only the front.  My cousin who stays just in the other street texted me someone floated with his sleeping stuff because he was already sleeping when the flood just rushed into their boarding house.  

Am glad, the water just died down.  It did not rain more but the water was already deep before the rain started to back out.  Couple more pics here –
