Here’s the link of my WW entry yesterday
The story behind this cross goes way back in May 19, 1871 when Mt. Vulcan erupted. It was an angry volcano is the Island of Camiguin and it’s eruption caused half of the place of Catarman covered. The church to be was totally destroyed but the walls still exist. ON that spot where the cross stood is the sunken cemetery. And that place now is one of the tourist destination in Camiguin Island. I remember long time ago in 1992, it was my first visit to the island, the cross was not yet that spectacular and during hightide, the cross is covered by water. But now they have erected this huge cross and no matter how big is the tide, the cross will still stand out.

What a great story – the picture is beautiful too
