Tell Me Thursday – 05/01/2008

Amsorry if this post comes so late but I just feel I need to do it for the sake of my latest Wordless Wednesday post.  I do try my very best not to include posting words because it is wordless on my WW posts so am so happy to discover of TMT later.  Anyway since another thursday has not yet come, so am still posting this wtihout even dating back this post.

My pictures posted at WW were pictures taken long time ago (1994) and current (April 19, 2008).

# 1 picture was taken during our fieldtrip at Cagayan de Oro and I am sure this was my last and even Jing’s last fieldtrip with the department before our graduation in October 1994.  This was on the stairs of the South Philipppine Union Conference.

# 2 picture was taken on April 19, 2008 evening.  After supper, Jing (in red) and I (in pink) went out to look for Maria Riza (in yellow) at the DAvao Mission site and indeed we found her and we agreed to have a stroll.  This photo was taken infront of the new library.

# 3 picture was of me and helen during the last major activity we attended before our graduation.  We were in our best clothes because it was a banquet night for our department.  Since our department is composed of ladies only – it was a thrill and exciting to invite men into our program. LOL!  IN this affair, I was paired with my boyfriend but not my bf that time because we had a big fight that caused us to break the relationship, but I still picked him as my partner because that time I felt that there’s no other guy worth to go along with me to the banquet than him.  I can remember the evening was nice and we took so much picture.

# 4 picture shows helen and me 13 years later after # 3 picture was taken.  This was taken April 19 Saturday noon at the home of one of our friends.  You can just see how much we have improved (ins size) thoughout the years. hahahahha

Loans Helped Her

My friend got married last month and as part of the wedding preparations was the invitation of her parents who are still in the Philippines to attend the wedding in California.  I know to get married in America is not a cheap thing.  It costs many of my friends double or triple compared to weddings made in the Philippines.  I really wonder why it is like that.  But anyhow, my friend sent an invitation to her parents and then after a week, her parents received a schedule to be interviewed.   It is not cheap also to meet an appointment with the US Embassy in Manila especially if one is from the south part of the country which unfortunately, my friend’s parents are residing.    My friend, Jam, divided her time between work, and home, and also doing the preparations of the wedding that she alsmot find herself using up all her budget for the wedding.  She complained one day that her money is not enough.  So I told her that why not try making a Loan.   There are many Loans available online these days.  It’s as easy as eating peanuts.  She was reluctant at first.  But when she read the site all over, she decided to make personal loans to make some cover up of the upcoming expenses and then maybe 6 months later after the wedding she would apply for a business loan.  I told her how lucky she is while in America.  Here in my current location, itis not as easy as a click when applying for a loan.  And the 24 hours? Hmmm it takes 3 days to 7 working days.  Anyway, my friends wedding is in three weeks after that chat and thankfully her parents made it there and they will be home in a week or two.  Good for them!

Right Fitness Equipment

In the gym where I do my exercise four times a week, their facilities are better than really nothing at all.  They have several thread mills to the joy of several people who come almost at same time and it would be bad if there are only 1 or two treadmills available.  But in the gym where i am enrolled for now,they have 5 so 5 people can do the treadmill at the same time.  They have boxing equipment, too and also several fitness equipments that will keep 10 people busy at the same time.  This gym is manned by the people working in the Physical Therapy of the hospital and their PT staff assist you in your daily exercises noting down on the important part which needs heavy work out.  I heard that soon, they are going to improve their facilities and I told them about York Fitness wherein they can purchase online fitness equipments, treadmills and boxing equipment.  Though they already have this boxing equipment, they are intrested to add more for the need of young men who want to train themselves for amateur boxing.  I tried it but it hard and too manly. hahahahaha.  I decided to stick onthe treadmill, the walker, the back exerciser.   Although for now, they only have 1 automatic treadmill which is my favorite among the five but now they are planning to get 2 more. wow am sure many customers would love it.
