Long long time ago, at this time, Jesus was already dead on the cross. I was made to understand that without His death on that cross, no matter how hard and horrible was the experience, it was a glory for all of us because God triumph over sin
The timely text for today is John 3:16 – one of my favorites in all the verses of the Bible. It says:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and whoso ever believeth on Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.
The words i marked is a promise to all of us who believes in Him. Because of that death, we triumph over sin and we are going to heaven to live eternally. What a beautiful promise!
The day also made me remember the song with the following lyrics:
We are the reason that He gave His life,
We are the reason that He suffered and died
To a world that was lost
He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live.
May this season be reminder for all of us that God’s love for us can never be compared to anyone’s love because He gave His son to die for us. Therefore, it is our responsibility to thank Him for this death. Let us continue to do the mission of spreading His goodness and love so we can see Him soon and live with Him forever and ever.
