Nice Friday

Got up before 6 am today to get ready for a travel to Cagayan de Oro City.  My main purpose it to get the medical refund of my mom as well as her pension.  And surely, am sure that I am off to SM after the transaction as SM is just 1 kilometer from the SPUC.

The bus trip was fine.  It was slow and we arrived CDO terminal after two hours.  I just let go of the tendency to complain.  It’s been sometime now that I practiced “no complaining” on DELAYS of transportation as am thinking God is with me on the trip and that He knows what’s the best time for me to go and arrive and leave.  Coz if it is His will then He will make things happened as I have planned.

The transaction at SPUC was quite quick but lagged a bit because I was eager to hear the whole Hongkong trip experience of my long time friend and schoolmate Melody Sanes.  She showed me all the pictures plus the detailed happenings, made me forgot about the time.  hehehe  So…I was off to SM.

Arrived at SM past 11 — I was hungry.  Real hungry because I didn’t have breakfast, but inspite of the hungry feeling, I still went to the shoe section of the department store, had a quick round and view of their displayed footwears…maybe i spent 20 minutes there, fitting many and I decided, I didn’t like any of them.  I was off to breakfast…I was thinking that maybe my feeling hungry made me me not like any of the footwears. hehehe

I went to Torquise.  It is a Turkish restaurant in SM, the first and only in the Philippines, and the 2nd one just opened at 10:30 in SM-Davao City.  I made friends with the head manager, Stephanie, and she mentioned that when Gaisano Mall here in my hometown will open, they also plan to make the 3rd branch.  It was a healthy place to eat compared to the famous fastfoods around the mall.  Steph treated me to a pure turkish made yogurt and really — it tastes so original.  I really dunno what’s original but I think that was that because I have tasted commercially sold yogurt in China and Bangkok — which I also love.  But the one I tasted today was so pure and the sourness was so creamy and thick.  I love it!

Stephanie, manager at the restaurant, a friendly woman from born and raised in Manila, finished HRM in UP Diliman, was one of the people that made my day today.  The first time we met was 3 months back and she gave me her business card but just forgot about it when I got home.  Today, when I came to the restaurant, she was having breakfast, so she joined me and we had a very interesting talk on about Islam and the keepers of Islam and her views on Islam while eating our food (healthy Turkish food).  I just knew then that she is real  Balik-Islam for 2 years now.  I thought she was wearing the scarf as a uniform in a Turkish restaurant, I didnt realized that she is really an Islam keeper now not until she told me.  She shared me a little book to read by a Turkish author and after a quick browse of it earlier today, it speaks the similarity of the Bible and the Q’uran.  Well, I promise that I am gonna see her again if I would be nearby SM and she promised too that If they come to Iligan, she will sms me and if they are going to Marawi, they will bring me along.  I envy her and her turkish employer because they have been to Marawi City and has stayed there for 3 months and they are from a far place.  For me who is staying more than 30 kilometers away haven’t been there ever.  :)

After eating, I roamed the whole grocery area and the department store for 3  hours then I went home.  I missed picking a medicine for my mom at LiveEArn office because I was carry boxy stuff and was a bit heavy.  SM grocery story had  SALE today.  I felt a bit lucky.  I spent some money for mom’s meds for groceries.  In my mind I was thinkin that “hey, let mom eat nice food, too — not just medicines.”  I picked for her some lettuce, raisins, and some food she will enjoy preparing for christmas.  When I arrived home — she was happy to see what am carrying.  She and dimple sorted the groceries and arranged it in containers.

We have a peaceful evening now.  Mom in the other bedroom, Dimple in the sofa in the sala, and me here in my bedroom.  >> Hmmmm…this is my ideal home environment.  Wish it is always like this.

Guess I have talked a lot now so let me wish everyone good night and have a great week-end!

Before I sign out, let me thank everyone for visiting my blog today and for those who left comments — I appreciate it very much.  Keep coming guys, will visit your web soon. :)…tomorrow.
