FROM WHICH STAR ARE YOU FROM?

That is not a question for you nor for me but for those of you who are not in the Philippines, that is the title of one of the korean telenobela aired by ABS-CBN. It is shown in the late evening after the Walang Kapalit of CB and PP.

I watched this telenobela sparingly but when i do, i feel it has a nice story and it makes me giggle, even my mom can feel the cuteness of the couple — that i decided to pick my own copy.

Other Korean movies that i have in my collection are: Cat On The Roof,  Rival, and Endless Love, the one i picked in China that has 16 discs, no english subtitles just an audio of Chinese and the original language, Korean. The first three movies i mentioned have English subtitles.

I have 4 original ones sent by a friend in Korea. They are: (1) Barefoot Gibong, (2) Mr. Butterfly, (3) A movie that i can’t pick the English Title but has a theme song of “Autumn Rain” – a nice and touching story. (4) Christmas in August. All these have english subtitles and I watched them with Korean Audio.

Other telenovelas I borrowed to watch the whole story are: Stairway to Heaven, Princess Lulu, and Princess Hours which has English subtitles and I watched them with Korean

All the stories made me giggle like a 16 year old girl who is inlove but at some point too — i cry a bucketful of tears. Endless Love and Princess Hours really really made me cry alot! hahahaha

Do i need to say thanks to Piracy? It could be another post.

Oh, before I forget — am hoping to pick the 1st and 2nd season of Grey’s Anatomy for P110. 00 only.  I still don’t know the picture and audio quality if it can be watched enjoyably.

10 Random Facts About My Mom

Let me start this up.  It’s been awhile i’ve been blog hopping but i haven’t met a post like this yet. 

I thought of making this post the other day after I posted 8 Facts About Me.  Since it was my mom’s bday last Friday, the more I am decided to make one like this.  Since Moms are moms and has gone a long way ahead of us — i want to write  10 (Ten).   I don’t mean i only have ten things to say –I have more but let’s just do it by ten. Here it goes: 

1.  My just turned 65.  That’s cool.  She gave birth to me 30 years ago. (wink).

2.  My mom is on charcoal therapy for quite sometime now.  She said it shows wonders.

3.  My mom has 3 kids.  Am the eldest.

4.  My mom had 35 years of service with Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital until her retirement 5 years ago.

5.  She is an MMA (Mindanao Mission Academy)  graduate.  That makes all of us is the family aside from my dad.

6.   She is strict but she is a friend. I share with her everything (bt not the sexy part — she won’t ever understand. hehehe). A nagger too (guess all moms are like that). including me?

7.  The fartherst place she has gone too was Manila.  When she was still single.

8.  She has her first MI attack in January 2006.

9.  She speaks english when she is angry. (i feel this is funny)

10.  She has 11 brothers and sisters in all.

Reads That Stimulates Her Mind

For three years now, she carefully collected her Sci-tech Magazines and Arithmetica Magazines. They are Sci-tech materials that teachers discuss with them during Sciences period in school. During my time they are what we call — The Salaginto in my intermediate years and Bato Balani during High School.

I find also these magazines as very interesting when I was still in school and I try to read them all in one setting. Dimple now is also showing interests of them and kept asking me about it — what she reads on the magazine she also asks me if i knew it and if I don’t she will read to me the information, which at times, I find it disturbing. (Disturbing when am online. hehehehe)

Last night, she asked me about the chemical that is the most useful but also the most dangerous. I took sometime to answer and she told me, it’s water.

Another question she asked me was, why are there dunes and how are they formed. I randomly replied that it’s because of the wind and then made Hidaldo movie an example because we saw a Sand Storm in that movie. Then while i was explaining my answer, she then said, “Yea, I know. I’ve read that somewhere. But I just can’t remember where and when.” Contempletating on her dialogue with me — i realized that my baby is now a “lady.”

Sunday Delight

She slept late last night and i did too. So, this morning we had the luxury to sleep very late. She got up at 8 AM to play with her kittens and help the mommy hen got out of her cage with the baby chicks. I was still drowsy in bed and does not have plans of getting up. An hour later she woke me up asking me if we can watch a movie. I told her, “I don’t have any new movie.” The she added, “We can watch Harry Potter, gain.”…”Which one?”, I asked. 1, 2, 3? “We only have the 3 stories” “#3″, she said. Ok — at almost ten AM — still in bed, we watched Prisoner of Azcaban in my computer.

The sound system was not nice and it can’t be heard very well — I didn’t mind the sound much because i can read the captions so quickly. It seems she is near sighted because she feels comfortable watching the screen at 2 meters away. She’s slightly deaf too because she is used to loud tv sound when she watches in the sala.

Right now, she is napping. Guess it would be real sleep as I promised her that she go and visit her cousins home to play at 5 pm. So, am sure she won’t wake up anytime now.

As am writing this — am also getting drowsy. I took a bath right away after i had my BRUNCH at 1:30 pm.
